Here we are looking into the Creative Sound Blaster H7 Headset review.
As reviews go, reviewing gaming headsets in one of our favorite pastimes. Not only have Creative been one of the major players in the gaming audio field, but they have been around long enough to know exactly what us gamers are looking for when it comes to audio.
The Creative Sound BlasterX H7 is the newest arrival from our friends at Creative, and as you can imagine, it doesn’t disappoint.
The headset is a circumaural stereo headset with 7.1 channel virtual surround sound. The headset is fitted with 2 x 50mm Drivers with frequencies ranging from 20-20,000Hz.
In addition to its predecessors such as the H3 and H5, it is equipped with a detachable microphone, and a control box featuring mic mute, volume adjustment and call control.
Sound BlasterX H7 Headset box is truly unique with it’s circular design.
It feels strange calling it a box when in fact it’s round, so we will call it the packaging. It has a clear “see through” casing to ensure you have a great view of the stunning headset. The cables and connectors are well packaged behind the headset.

Creative Sound BlasterX H7 Impressions:
There is no doubt about it, the design is modern, slick and visually very impressive.
The design of the earpieces are big enough to cover your entire ears (circumaural) and are closed back to ensure audio leakages are almost non-existent. Each earpiece is made from Aluminium plate and both have the Blaster X logo on.
Within each earpiece, the 50mm driver is covered with soft material to ensure it doesn’t rub against your ears. Each earpiece is equipped with memory foam cushions to further add the comfort levels.
The headband is made from stainless steel and is covered top to bottom in Faux Leather padding, giving the wearer maximum comfort.
The band’s inner part is also covered with Faux Leather padding, something that other bands have missed in the past. The H7 also has an adjustable headband, that should fit almost all head sizes.
The detachable microphone is set at the bottom of the left earpiece.
The microphone is of the “boom” variety and has a pipe cleaner design so that you can move it into position at will.
The microphone is also padded with a form bobble to protect from moisture and unwanted noise population.
The performance of the H7 headset is very good indeed.
The sound given “in game” is clear and vibrant. The bass reproduction is fantastic, especially for really low sounds as the 50mm drivers in each earpiece take effect.
The volume levels can reach really high levels (if that is your thing) and we also noticed that you can hear “in game” background noises, a pure sign of a quality audio headset.
All the frequencies were represented really well, which was a surprise as most headset designers normally just focus on the bass!
Creative Sound BlasterX H7 Review: Our thoughts:
Well what can we say about the Sound Blaster H7 Headset? As we have mentioned above, the headset is extremely stylish but the sound the H7 delivers is even better.
As far as most the “high-end” headsets go, the H7 offers everything you would need from perfect audio to comfort. We would strongly advise you to purchase the Sound Blaster H7 if you are serious about gaming.
